Gynecomastia causes males to develop breast tissue which leads to the development of man boobs. It is commonly seen in young boys 8 - 14, however there are more and more cases of adult gynecomastia being reported.

Because pseudogynecomastia has the same effect as gynecomastia many people think that it is caused by the same thing. However, they are entirely different conditions. Pseudogynecomastia is caused by a buildup of fat in the chest and gives the appearance of having man boobs.
