One of the world’s finest “superfoods” is a tiny, little berry that is grown only in the rainforests of Brazil. The acai berry (pronounced ah-sigh-ee) berry has been touted as a miracle food for anti-aging, weight loss, disease prevention and more.
A number of of these claims may be highly exaggerated as there are no single “miracle” foods in nature but there are many, many very nutritious foods that can be called “miracle” foods and the acai berry is just one of them.
The acai berry does have some of the highest antioxidant qualities found on the planet. It has two times as many antioxidants as blueberries and even 10 times as many as red grapes.
