Losing Weight During the Holiday Season

By now, I am assuming your schedule is pretty hectic in preparation for the Holiday Festivities.
So its only inevitable that I ask of you to take a few moments to ponder on how you will handle the vast amounts of food involved with this holiday season. And to remind you not to forget about your personal health, goals and the purpose behind them.
As a gift I would like to share with you a few tried and true concepts on how to maintain or lose weight during this holiday season.
Thirteen years ago I became quite intrigued with the idea of LOSING WEIGHT DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON. Even knowing the chances of finding success with this idea was highly slim I was nevertheless still intrigued.

Ways To Boost Metabolism, Fast

There are many ways to boost metabolism but I’m going to zoom in on just 8 ways that I think are the most powerful……
First, get to know your metabolism.
It’s the rate your body converts food into energy and burns it off as calories. The faster you burn off calories, the more weight/fat you can slice off even if you eat the same amount of food.
For all of us, we use up this kind of energy (calories) in 3 ways:
- 60-70% to power our body for all its daily functions, to keep us going. This is otherwise known as basal or resting metabolic rate
- About 30% in exercise and other physical activities
- The remaining 10% in eating food since the processing and digesting that’s involved requires energy. This is also known as the thermic effect of food
