Is Detox Diet Just A Fad?

Detox (or detoxification) is elimination of toxins from our body. It is done through proper diet of fruit, vegetable and water and avoids high processed foods and red meat. Another component that may be introduced is taking herbal supplements.
Detox may be misinterpreted as to rehabilitation of people with alcohol and drug problems alone. It is a misconception. Detox also deals with diet of natural (organic) foods in nature. Foods that are unprocessed are taken which helps purging the toxins out of our body.
Detox diet usually claims a leaner and healthier body. The health industry is cashing in on different detoxification goods and services that guarantee weight loss and leaner body.
Now, is it really true, that detox diet can revitalise you into a healthier human being? There may be some people approved of its valuable effect, giving rise to more folks wanting to try it out themselves. Is it really effective or its popularity may just be brought about by popular endorsements? Is it the hype that is feeding the bandwagon?
We will never know its effect until we try it out ourselves. One thing is for sure, no two bodies thrive on exactly the same diet. We have our own individual amount of requirements. We may be temporarily swayed by the craze and may join the ‘club’, but at the end of the day, our body dictates what we can take…and reject.
Is detox diet just a fad? No one can exactly say. We all have our own opinion. It may be popular as of the moment, but soon as a new discovery unfolds, then it may fade sooner than we think. But for the meantime, its popularity remains on top and still being followed by many, having accumulated toxics for many years.
Health industry is spending a lot of money to further the improvement on the so called ‘detox’ diet; turning them into diverse forms. But, come take a closer look, the essentials are the same. It is just being presented in a manner that is not the same as what has been already introduced. In reality, detox diet is basically an intake of natural and unprocessed foods as opposed to high fat content foods.
Whether it is a fad or not, remains to be answered by individuals who either tried and benefitted from it or the ones who tried and did not get favorable results from it. At the end of the day, it is truly a well balanced diet that we could trust our body to uphold and adhere. Just do not allow it to be a reservoir of unhealthy foods. All it takes is just the right amount of carbohydrates, protein, fiber and fats. Yes, our body needs fats as well. Moderation is the key. We all know, anything that is too much or too little is unhealthy. We should not bind nor be blinded by any hype. Fad or not, we are the only ones who knew of our own body’s needs.
