<p>If you want to lose weight you need to burn more calories and/or consume less food. This basic arithmetic is helped by engaging in some forms of physical activities that burn more calories and by improving your diet by eating healthier foods that contain fewer calories.</p>

<p>Something that helped many dieter was to keep a notebook on their daily caloric food counts as well as keeping a record of  their progress to a desired weight. As with any goal you need to keep it realistic. You&#8217;re not trying to set a new Guinness Book of Records for weight loss in a given period of time.</p>
<p>Before every meal you should drink a tall glass of water.  Perhaps even sprucing it up with a slice of lemon or lime will pep it up.  The underlying thought is that with a fuller feeling stomach you&#8217;ll want to eat less.  Besides, it flushes out toxins from your body and replenishes your fluid level.</p>
<p>Get your normal 7 or 8 hours rest.  Studies show that people tend to replace reduced sleep with added calories.  One study showed sleep deprived people releasing more hormones that tell the brain that more food is need triggering extra cravings for food. They also found that those who got less sleep craved more starchy foods and craved sweets.</p>
<p>Trick you brain with fruits, grains that are rich in fiber, vegetables and with drinking lots of water. It tells the brain that you are getting full and because you are eating healthy, low calorie foodstuff, you&#8217;re minimizing your caloric intake.</p>
<p>Most people love to go out to eat so you need to be on guard.  You need to avoid the soup and order the salad.  Stay away from the bread and snacks that are offered. If you are going to drink alcohol, limit yourself to 1 or 2 drinks.</p>
<p>Avoid bad cars and bad fats. According to Dr. Arthur Agatston, best-selling author of The South Beach Diet you should avoid: white bread, white rice, white pasta, potatoes and white sugar. If you see white foods, turn away.</p>
<p>Consider the number of times you want to work out and schedule it into activities.  Start slowly perhaps with only 20 minutes exercise and build up your regimen to 1hour.  The more you exercise, the more calories you will burn. The more calories you burn, the faster you lose weight.</p>
<p>Rethink your activities at work. Park further away and take a longer walk to your car, use the stairs instead of the elevator and stay active during the day. At lunch go for a walk. All this extra activity will speed up your metabolism.</p>
<p>By far, our choice weight program is the Wu-Yi diet.  It will simply begin a weight loss cycle that will start inches go away.  1.) Before eating breakfast, drink the Wu-Yi tea. Breakfast needs to be your largest meal. 2.) Drink a second cup before having dinner and don&#8217;t eat anything after 8 PM.</p>

<p>Losing weight and maintaining weight are similar. For both, you must consume healthy food, don&#8217;t overeat portion wise and exercise regularly.</p>
<p>Part of weight maintanence is having ongoing motivation to not gain weight. Getting support from those around you is also important. You also need to make sure that when you have stress, you don&#8217;t result to overeating. You also must assume responsibility for maintaining your weight.</p>
<p>There are potential risks in regaining weight such as in the past going through cycles of gaining and losing weight. Another risk or problem is binge eating, or eating emotionally in response to stress.</p>
<p>Bottom line, maintaining your weight is balancing between how much energy you use and replinishing that burnt energy. To achieve this balance you need to know your own needs.</p>
<p>One system that you should use in maintaining your weight is to keep track of how many calories you are burning from exercise and then replenishing those calories without eating too much so that you will gain weight.</p>

<p>You might also wonder why Bushmen would be interested in dieting, and of course - they weren&#8217;t. In fact, the reason for wishing to suppress their diet did not stem from the excess of food and need to lose weight, but quite the reverse. The sheer lack of food in the desert meant that any method which would reduce the feeling of hunger could allow the hunters to concentrate more fully on a successful hunt. Before each hunt the Bushmen would eat some of the Hoodia Gordonii plant, and this would allow them to continue hunting for three or four days without having to stop and think about eating.</p>

<p>2. Sugar = weight gain: Sugar is your biggest adversary when it comes to weight gain. The human body will convert sugar into fat extremely fast. Sugar can give you an instant burst of energy, but it will also produce cravings, which are enemies in disguise when it comes to weight gain.</p>
<p>The more sugar you eat, the stronger the cravings become, the more weight you gain, and the less happy you are. Rather than sugar, you should eat potatoes, rice, natural fruits and vegetables, bread, and pasta, all of which produce good glucose.</p>
<p>3. Water is the elixir of well-being: Drinking plenty of water is mandatory for a healthy body and if you want to lose weight fast! No matter how much water you drink you wont gain weight. <p>We keep looking for overnight fat-loss measures; those that can help us with a miraculous loss of weight. We use different diets, regimens, pills, and E-books. We spend as much as we had spent on foods for building the flab. Nothing works. The Atkins diet, Hollywood diet and various burst diets fail. Moreover, these induce a lot of tiredness, chances of seizure and problems with the immunity. The relapse is also quite burdensome for the metabolism once we leave the diet. It is important to lose weight without any side effect. Lets read certain methods to do so.</p>

<p>Not surprisingly, at almost every turn we are inundated with advertisements, articles and health warnings all focusing on the health problems of being overweight, and encouraging almost all of us to lose at least some of our excess weight. Diets and dietary supplements are available in almost every combination, and most of us have tried at least one of the currently popular diets available.</p>
<p>But with so many of these health warnings encouraging us to lose weight, and with so many fat-free or low-fat products available in shops, why is the problem of obesity still so widespread?</p>
<p>The answer is simply convenience. We eat poorly and exercise rarely as a result of our busy and hectic lives. We simply don&#8217;t have time to lose weight, exercise as much as we ought to, or spend time in the kitchen cooking healthy meals with fresh produce.</p>
<p>It is for this reason that diet pills or dietary supplements have gained significant interest and attention from a great number of people. One of be most popular and exciting dietary pills or supplements to help with significant weight loss are hoodia diet pills. But are diet pills safe? You are almost certainly not alone in having concerns regarding taking dietary pills concocted in laboratories by faceless scientists. As you eat, the amount of glucose in your blood naturally increases. Your brain is constantly monitoring the amount of glucose that is in your blood, and when an appropriate level has been reached, your brain sends out a signal to tell you that you are no longer hungry, and so you stop eating. What hoodia diet pills do is to mimic the glucose molecule in a very substantial way. Only a relatively small amount of hoodia is required to trick the brain into thinking that a very large amount of glucose is present. Your brain then believes that the correct glucose level has been reached, and sends a signal to let you know that you are no longer hungry. Your hunger is switched off, and you are free to then spend several days hunting in the Kalahari Desert or enjoying a less physical lifestyle, but in either case without the need to feel hungry and eat more than we actually need.</p>
<p>If you are one of the tremendous number of people who have been anxious to lose some weight, but have found that traditional diets and dietary supplements have not worked for you, and perhaps you have been anxious about taking dietary pills, then hoodia diet pills could very well be the answer that you are looking for. <p>How I got my extra pounds in the first place</p>
<p>I work in an office as a payroll clerk. I am also a mother of three great kids. Speeding hours a day behind a desk then coming home to feed my family and get the kids ready for ed left me just exhausted. I was mentally drained and had no energy to work out. They say that 20 minuets a day, three times a week on a treadmill can do wanders for you - I could not even find the time to have 5 minuets of solitude for myself.</p>
<p>When I was young I use to weigh 132 pounds. I didn&#8217;t have a models body or anything but I sure liked how I looked. So did my husband (boyfriend back then). I gained 10 pounds after my first child was born and after my third I gained a total of 31 pounds. The years after that I would see about another 20 or so more pounds put into my tummy.</p>
<p>When I saw one day that I was 163 pounds I was ashamed. I starting looking into diets and even tried all the most popular ones at the time. Nothing ever produced real results for me so I just gave up.</p>
<p>I don&#8217;t think my girlfriends even fully understood why I stopped going out with them to public places. I hated how I looked and hated how I felt even more. I did stop dieting because there seemed to be nothing that could work. At my heaviest I was 187 pounds and then I seem a TV show that changed my life.</p>
