Feng Shui has been around for thousands of years. Since that time, various trends of Feng Shui have developed. Although the basic principles remain the same, each one has a somewhat distinct approach for the subject:
Form School
* Centers predominantly with the curves of physical landscapes, their form, size and watercourse, as well as the connection between the actual physical formations as well as a dwelling.

Maybe you are now wondering: “What are negative calorie foods?”. So, what is the negative calorie food all about? Well, there is no such thing as a negative calorie food, since the calorie as a unit of heat cannot be negative. But when you hear people talk about negative calorie foods, it only means that the calorie level of the food is so low that it requires more energy to eat and digest it than how much calorie it contains. Negative calorie foods are also known as fat fighting foods.
Celery is an example of a negative calorie food. It takes energy from the body for digestion, because it does not contain enough calories. Cold water also has a negative calorie. In fact, water has no calories at all but when you drink cold water, the body takes more energy to bring it up to body temperature. Everytime we drink a glass of cold water we burn up a little more calories and lose a little weight. But foods like this should be used wisely and should be taken in moderation.
Anorexics are usually attracted to negative calorie foods. If used inappropriately, a negative calorie diet would result in starvation and nutritional deficiencies. The calories used to burn negative calorie foods will be taken from the body’s muscle mass, and in effect will be really harmful to your health.
You can use a negative calorie diet in a healthy way by fasting or detox. You might even want to start a detox diet after big holidays such as Christmas, New Year or Thanksgiving when you have eaten so many fatty foods. A negative calorie diet is a great way to clean out your body’s system, and you can do it for three days or so. However, be sure to get your doctor’s approval before proceeding with this type of detox diet.
Read some important points to remember when on a negative calorie detox diet:
1. Never eat big quantities of one type of food, especially fruits. Some fruits contain substances that are bad to your body if you eat too much of it. For example, grapefruit and pineapple can damage your stomach lining. Other foods can cause diarrhea or burden your liver. It is better to eat all the different foods in small quantities.
Some examples of negative calorie fruits are: Apples, Blueberries, Cantaloupes, Cranberries, Grapefruit, Papayas, Pineapples, Prunes, Raspberries, Strawberries and Tangerines.
2. You should never spend all your day eating. You will only become bloated and feel unwell. Plan at least four or five salad meals every day, and let your digestive system rest in between.
3. Try to eat slowly and chew your food thoroughly. You will use more calories that way. It is also better to eat the foods raw. Foods like carrots and beets will also be more satisfying if you grate them.
Some examples of fat burning vegetables are: Asparagus, Beets, Broccoli, Carrot, Cauliflower, Celery stalk, Celery root, Cucumbers, Eggplant, Endives, Garden cress, Green beans, Green cabbage, Lamb’s lettuce, Lettuce, Radishes, Spinach, Tomatoes, Turnips and Zucchini.
4. Be aware that fasting or any kind of detox diet, there may be some uncomfortable symptoms such as headaches, tiredness, depression and irritability. If the syptoms become worse, stop the detox diet and see your doctor immediately.
5. Gradually return to a normal diet by eating normal foods by the time you are at the end of your negative calorie detox diet.

What to Do to Develop a Wide, Muscular Back

For most aspiring lifters, it’s all about building a huge chest and arms. Week after week they slave away on endless sets of bench presses and barbell curls in search of the rippling muscle gains they want so badly. Not surprisingly, those gains never appear in any significant form.
And if you are not training your back in the right way because that’s an area you cannot check in the mirror or because you think it’s just doesn’t worth the effort, then its clear that you doesn’t know how important that area is.
Allow me to let you in on a little secretIf you want to appear as wide, thick and powerful as you possibly can, nothing will allow you to achieve this goal faster than a well developed back.
If you want to succed and have a wide back, just follow these simple steps.
1) Deadlifts. The deadlift will work you from finger to neck to toe and is irreplaceable in developing strong, thick back muscles. The deadlift will stimulate growth throughout the entire back complex and should be the cornerstone of your routine.
2) A vertical pulling movement. These exercises mainly target the lat muscles and will help you to attain that wide, v-tapered look from behind. You can try with lat pulldowns, v-bar pulldowns and chin-ups.
3) Horizontal pulling movement. For maximum results, stick to a basic freeweight rowing movement. I usually recommend bent over barbell rows, but bent over dumbbell rows are an acceptable choice as well.
4) A shrugging movement. While not quite as important as the above mentioned lifts, a shrugging movement should still be performed at the end of the workout to target the upper traps and develop that mountainous, diamond-shaped look from behind. A basic barbell or dumbbell shrug will do the trick.
Perform 2 sets of 5 to 7 reps of deadlifts, overhand chin-ups and bent over barbell rows and 2 sets of 10 to 12 reps of barbell shrugs. That’s all.
It may not seem like a lot, but as long as you take every set to muscular failure and focus on quality rather than quantity, this routine provides more than enough stimulation for maximum back growth. I’ve used this same routine for many years and continue to see steady progress in both back size and strength.

Are you bored by the usual routine? Have you had enough of getting those tight-fitting clothes and those smelly sneakers into a bag and heading off down to the gym? Then what about learning how to dance as an alternative? Dancing can really get your heart pumping! Find some instructions for dance and just move.
Amazingly, dancing provides you with the same sort of aerobic workout as exercise. But it is far from being a series of dull repetitions done over and over again. It helps you to increase your heart rate and speed up your metabolism and even help you slim down.
You can learn to dance at home with a dvd or at your local town hall or gym. You don’t have to be stuck in the same room on a piece of equipment like an exercise bike or rowing machine week after week. The dancing activity alone stimulates both your mind and body. You don’t need to be plugged into headphones for example. It also allows you to experience new types of tunes. My friend had no idea how great some types of music are until she went to her local evening instructions for dance classes!
There are so many different ways of learning to dance. There are many different styles to choose from. You can decide to pick something fast paced and energetic like salsa and samba rhythms, or you can go for something more sedate like ballroom. Then also, you can decide which type of lesson you prefer. You can choose to go for a private lesson where it is just you, or a few people, or you can go to an open house where there are lots of people.
Depending on what sort of style you choose, will determine what you wear. You can decide to choose something which requires some highly specialised equipment or clothing. If you choose to learn tap dancing then you will probably need professional tap shoes. For ballroom dancing both men and women get to wear extremely glamorous sparkly sequin-festooned clothes. No need for smelly trainers any more!
One piece of good advice is not to splurge on expensive clothes or equipment which you will not use. For example, don’t buy expensive tap dancing shoes or all the clothes for Turkish belly dancing and then go to one lesson and find that you hate it.
Learning to how dance can be quite easy on the wallet. You can buy excellent videos or DVDs that teach you the basic instructions for dance. With the right music and a willing partner, you can master these steps in the privacy of your home. Above all, you can really enjoy yourself! It’s fun!
Making Consistent Fitness Progress

I once knew someone back in college who had body dysmorphia. He had to have more muscle, as well as lose a bunch of fat. He also had to have lots of veins standing out in bold relief over all his muscles.
And at the same time, he wanted to gain a bunch of muscle too. Because as soon as he put on a jacket, or even a t-shirt, you couldnt tell he worked out at all.
I knew that he also wanted to become a fast runner. Probably to run away from his problems. Or steal stuff.
And by the way, he didnt just want his limbs to look shapely with muscles. He wanted all those muscles to look proportionately large. If he felt his muscles were getting too large, he worried about the size of his back and even his arms. If his chest looked rather small, he worried that his other parts of the body, like his forearms, were getting too big. I made fun of him a lot.
For the two years I knew him, this guy chased every fitness goal under the sun and didnt get anywhere.
I guess he needed to choose one.
If he wants to become a better runner, he should practice running and shouldnt worry about his body proportion for a while. His arms may become a little smaller compared to his legs, but the whole running activity may turn out to be worthwhile later on. If he would prefer to have large biceps on his shoulders then I think he should concentrate on making them larger. He shouldnt worry about the decrease of his lung capacity.
This is what fitness is all about: One should prioritize only one fitness goal. He doesnt need to burden himself with trying to accomplish several.
For instance, one may want to lose 20 pounds off his body.
Well for this Id suggest fat-loss as the primary goal. And part of your fat-loss routine should be strength training in order to raise your metabolism up a bit. Whats great is this will also lead to toning your arms, legs, and midsection.
It would be good for an individual to avoid obsession towards too many goals at a given time. Effort would then become useless if he or she tries to cover too many fitness activities at a given period of time. I’m Rick Steel
