People today seem to be more informed about weight and belly fat than they ever were. With recent research confirming that your body shape can be a reliable indicator of health factors such as risk of heart disease, who can blame anyone for wanting to find the fastest way to a flat stomach?
People who watch a lot of television can attest to the daily bombardment of infomercials featuring products that promise to reduce their belly fat and help them achieving a flat stomach practically overnight. These products don’t always work as advertised and do very little to enable you to achieve a flat stomach.
Getting a flat stomach is all about working out effectively and regularly. There is no easy way to reduce belly fat and keep it off without hard work and diligent effort.
Anyone who is interested in the fastest way to a flat stomach should first take a long and hard look at the diet. You need to be able to eliminate saboteurs such as soft drinks, burgers, fries, etc. from your diet. It certainly sounds difficult because it’s more about changing your lifestyle and it’s an important step towards getting a flat stomach. However, getting a flat stomach requires making the right food choices.
Protein rich foods should be the core of your diet. Don’t overemphasize calories counting at this stage since your first step towards eliminating excess body fat is to burn it off by consuming more protein and fewer carbs. You cab eat almost any lean meats along with fish. Don’t avoid vegetables and fruits as they are a good source of healthy vitamins and minerals and a good addition to your diet. It is also advisable to drink plenty of water throughout the day.
You should eat a high protein dinner because your body works even when you are sleeping. A high protein dinner will ensure that your body continues to burn fat while you sleep. However, stop eating at least two or three hours before you retire for the evening to give your body a chance to begin processing the food.
You are not exempt from exercising. While it may be true that you might be able to get away without exercising if you don’t have much fat on your body but it will not work for people who have accumulated lots of fat over the years, especially in the stomach area. You can start your exercise routine by doing a few crunches followed by sit-ups that focus on your abdominals. You can then gradually build up to more advanced exercises that focus on various parts of your body. A good diet and a regular routine of aerobic and strength training exercises will be the fastest way to a flat stomach.
Trying to diet is not really enjoyable, when you need to lose belly fat it can be a frustrating time. Finding the right exercises for belly fat removal is imperrative.

The Zone Diet And Barry Sears
April 10, 2009 by Ron Cripps
A man named Barry Sears created the fad diet called the Zone diet. In reality it’s not a fad diet in that it is not planned to only be consumed in short periods, but rather to become the normal eating habits for a person. The diet relies on balancing hormones, but is still a low carbohydrate diet even if less restrictive than diets like Atkins.
The basis of the zone diet is a ratio of calories from carbohydrates, proteins, and fats all of 40 to 30 to 30. Some nonscientific studies done by various television shows have shown that the diet can indeed produce reasonable weight-loss. In fact, many of these nonscientific studies show that people gain muscle mass while losing weight on the zone diet. People included in the studies said it was very easy to stick to the zone diet as compared to other low carbohydrate diets.
The zone diet creates a perfect balance of insulin and glucagen which causes the body to release chemicals similar in effect to those found in aspirin. Sears also said the diet would help make the heart healthier. Another benefit of the zone diet is that once the human body is in this hormonal balance it becomes more efficient and stops storing excess calories as fat. Thus, with no fat stored, and with stored fat used as energy, the body loses weight. Various supplements were later added to the diet to deliver certain beneficial fatty acids.
A typical zone diet meal was described by its creator in the following manner. In every meal eat enough protein to fit in the palm of your hand, as many non-starchy raw vegetables as you can take, just enough carbohydrates to maintain mental clarity, and just enough oils to stop hunger.
A man who once weighed 1200 pounds attributes amazing weight loss to the zone diet. He had tried every diet and even liposuction, but after 24 months on the zone diet he lost about 400 pounds. The man’s current diet consists of 2000 calories broken up into six meals per day. It includes egg white omelets, fresh salads, chicken, fish, and other healthy foods mandated by the zone diet.
Exercise care when taking up the zone diet. After all it is only considered a Fad Diet and as we know many fad diets can actually do more harm than good towards your weight loss efforts
Gynecomastia and Pseudogynecomastia Demystified

There are some misconceptions as to what gynecomastia really is and how it is treated as compared to pseudogynecomastia. Hopefully this article will help clear it up.
Gynecomastia causes males to develop breast tissue which leads to the development of man boobs. It is commonly seen in young boys 8 - 14, however there are more and more cases of adult gynecomastia being reported.
Because pseudogynecomastia has the same effect as gynecomastia many people think that it is caused by the same thing. However, they are entirely different conditions. Pseudogynecomastia is caused by a buildup of fat in the chest and gives the appearance of having man boobs.
Because the causes of the conditions are different the way that they can be treated are different as well.
Younger males will normally see their gynecomastia start to disappear naturally at the time of puberty. Older males, unfortunately, have to be treated by hormone therapy or undergo make breast reduction surgery.
The treatment for pseudogynecomastia is less serious and is the same for both boys and men. Because the condition is caused by fat, the male breasts are reduced with a reduction of body fat and the buildup of muscles in the chest. This is achieved through a good exercise and weight loss program.
A professional doctor should be consulted by men with gynecomastia so they can discuss the best treatment options for their particular case. If surgery is the best option, then it is advisable that you find a quality plastic surgeon that is experienced in male breast reduction surgery. Do a search on You Tube for “male breast reduction surgery” and there are some very helpful videos for you to watch.
Guys who have pseudogynecomastia should seek to find a suitable weight loss program that fits in with their life style as well as maximizes fat burning. There have been a few programs developed for the sole purpose of helping men get rid of their pseudogynecomastia, just do a search for “Man Boobs Solutions” on Google and you will get some good results.
I hope this article has helped clear up any misconceptions that you may have had about gynecomastia and pseudogynecomastia for more information please see the resource box below.
Another Fad Diet Called The Subway Diet

Mention the diet that relies on eating sandwiches in place of two meals a day and people will instantly recognize Jared and the Subway Diet. Now, as Paul Harvey would say, it’s time for the rest of the story. Read further for a brief history of the subway diet.
Like man college students Jared Fogle worked a part time job, his at an adult book store, to pay for college. He sat long hours in a class room, sat long hours behind the counter at the video store while eating snacks, and as a result ended up weighing 425 pounds. Jared realized his weight was critical and so started looking for a way to drop some pounds.
He tried various diets, but they didn’t work because he still had all those hours behind a counter during which to cheat. But then he found a Subway shop near his dorm. The seed of the Subway diet was planted. Jared decided to skip breakfast every day, walk the mile and a half there and back to Subway for both lunch and dinner during which he consumed only a sandwich, a bag of baked chips and a diet soft drink. Now instead of a 10,000 calorie per day with no exercise lifestyle, he was eating only about 900 calories while walking 6 miles every day. For Jared the yet named Subway diet made 245 pounds disappear in the span of a single year.
How did this Subway diet become a national ad campaign for the Subway chain? One day Jared bumped into a buddy who was a reporter for the school paper. He didn’t recognize Jared at first, and when he heard the weight loss story decided to write an article about it. Someone at Men’s Health magazine read about Jared and decided to include his diet in a feature about crazy diets that work.
A subway franchisee in Chicago brought the story to the attention of his advertising people who talked to Jared to make certain it was legit. When the Chicago guys tried to get funding from the national advertising agency for a campaign, they were told it would bomb, so they funded it themselves for a local run in Chicago.
The campaign around the Subway diet became huge. Soon Jared and the Subway diet were in all the national media, including a guest stint on Oprah. Now it was the national agency’s turn to ask about running the ads around the country.
Many people have lost a lot of weight on the Subway diet. However, you should be aware that Jared Fogle was an exception and not a rule for being able to lose so much weight in such a short time frame. His strategy of reducing calories and exercise are well known in all health circles to lead to weight loss and a healthy life style, ut not in such extreme measures.
My Experience with the Atkins Diet (part 2).
March 23, 2009 by Owen Jones.
Some people have to try to make your life miserable, if you let them. It was obvious to everyone that I looked and felt better, but some people just have to try to spoil it. I was told: lots of people have died of kidney or liver failure after being on Atkins I read it in the newspaper; you will have a heart attack, it’s not natural; your cholesterol will climb sky high and you will need your toes amputated or you will have a stroke; it will affect your eyesight. All sorts of rubbish. So, I went to see my GP, who admitted that he did not know anything about the Atkins diet, but he also added that he had heard nothing bad about it either. He sent me for a series of tests at the hospital and the results were all satisfactory. He was happy that I’d lost 18 lbs and so was I. Six weeks later, I went for another cholesterol check-up, because of the high fat levels in the diet and, although my cholesterol level was up very slightly, the doctor said there was no cause for concern at all.
The Atkins diet book warns that you might develop bad breath (halitosis). I don’t know whether I did or not - no-one said anything, but I started brushing my teeth four-five times a day just in case. I guess that’s another benefit of following the Atkins diet: increased oral hygiene. It also warns of constipation. I didn’t get that either, although I didn’t give up black coffee, which has always had a laxative effect on me. But surely you can’t suffer from constipation if you’re allowed to eat well over 1lb of greens a day? I hadn’t been eating that well before the diet! So my two main concerns were nebulous.
A couple of weeks later, I was getting bored not going out so much. I was still happy with the diet, but because I am single and am used to going out and drinking beer. So, I decided to go about this scientifically. One day, after work, I drank three pints of Guinness and felt great - the taste was wonderful. Before the diet, I would have drunk five or six pints. To my surprise and delight, the next morning the ketone stick told me that I was still ‘on the diet’. Over the following weeks, I really enjoyed experimenting to find out what would ‘work’ and what would not. I discovered that even a small amount of cider would ruin the Atkins diet; some beers and some lagers were all right; red and white wine were OK. Consuming alcohol does not knock you off the Atkins diet, but it slows down your rate of progress. Even slow progress is progress, I say. Better than giving up the diet or not going out.
Don’t let people encourage you to ‘just have a little bit’. They don’t understand or don’t want to understand the trouble they’re causing you. One’s body can hold two days worth of carbohydrates: one square of chocolate, one slice of bread, a bowl of cornflakes or one sugar in your coffee will cost you TWO days to clear out of your system. Don’t let people do it to you. This is not a diet that you can stop and start when you like, in fact I think that it probably could be dangerous to keep allowing your ketone and other levels to fluctuate wildly. There are also the high fat levels in the content of the Atkins diet, which is not dangerous if you keep to it, because you body devours fat and cholesterol in the absence of carbohydrates.
That is the story so far, with me having got down to under 16 stone and keeping it there until very recently when I moved to the Far East to live. The food is so different here, but once I get used to the food and have my own house and own kitchen, I will get down to 15 stone, I’m sure I will ” without any real effort.
Anyway, thank you, Mr. Blackwell, wherever you are, you changed my life and my understanding of food and thank you, Mr. Atkins too.
What makes acai supreme great for you!

Acai Supreme is yet another acai berry supplement that focuses on the benefits of the amazing acai berry. There is one question though that I think surrounds all the acai berry supplements and that is - what makes one better from the rest?
Acai Supreme is the most effective acai berry supplements on the market today. The results reported by most users of Acai Supreme surpass the results reported by any other acai berry product online, including juices, pills, and powders. Acai Supreme has more dietary fiber, Vitamin A, Vitamin B1, Vitamin E, amino acids, and healthy Omega fats than any of the competing Acai Berry products.
If you are looking at a fast shipping time from an acai supplier who actually has stock on the supplement, hen you should be impressed with the 3 to 5 shipping days from Acai Supreme. You get a full months supply to try out for just the cost of the shipping and handling fee’s, then after the trial is over the cost for a one months supply climbs up to seventy nine dollars and ninety five cents which is on the high end of Acai supplements, but as with most health related products, you get what you pay for when it comes to the Acai Berry.
Reports from real users have shown that they have noticed an increased energy level through out the day, and a noticeable improvement in there skin tones. Many users have also recorded they have also dropped weight as well and have experienced a higher metabolism.
If you are interested in a good Acai Berry supplement that guarantees results with a free trial offer, or if you have used other Acai Berry supplements in the past and are looking for an improvement on your current formula, you cant go wrong with Acai Supreme.
Is The Grapefruit Diet A Fad Diet
March 11, 2009 by Ron C George

One of the popular fad diets in Hollywood was the grapefruit diet. It dates back to the 1930s, and many Hollywood stars of the time swore by it. It remained popular until the mid-1970s, when it became one of the diets that was sent from fax machine to fax machine, creating a phenomenon known as xerox lore. The diet is credited to the Mayo Clinic, which clearly states that it has nothing to do with the diet and that this diet is not healthy.
The grapefruit diet is essentially like the Atkins diet with the addition of a grapefruit before each meal. The diet only allows three meals each day, with no snacking in between meals. Supposedly a person on this diet could lose 10 pounds in only 10 days.
The distribution was just as far fetched no weight loss for four days then five pounds lost all on the fifth day. It was based on the claim that grapefruit contains fat burning enzymes, something that has never been proven.
In 2004 it was proven that the diet may work. Eating grapefruit prior to meals helped people in the study lose 3.6 pounds in twelve weeks. Drinking the juice from the grapefruit led to only slightly less weight loss. A few of the participants lost an astounding 10 pounds.
Researchers attributed the weight loss to decreased insulin levels caused by eating grapefruit. However, all the participants slightly enhanced their exercise programs, which may account for the lost weight.
Here’s an overview of the typical grapefruit diet plan:
- Drink eight servings of water a day. - Stop eating when you feel full. - Eat all the listed foods at each meal, don’t skip food as it interferes with fat burning. - The catalyst to the whole process is grapefruit, so don’t cut it. - Drink only up to 1 cup of coffee at meals. - No snacking before or after meals. - You can have Butter that is OK. - No starches or sweets can be eaten. - Meat and vegetables are fine. - It’s important to eat into you’re full because the more you eat the more you will lose. - Skip two days between each 12 day diet period. - Eat one half grapefruit, or drink 18 ounce glass of grapefruit, at each meal time.
Now you can go try the grapefruit diet.
Acai berry scam has stopped.

Acai Berry Extra not only has one of the strongest acai supplements available hitting 1200mg per daily serving but they also believe that a repeat customer is far better for business then trying to rip them off the first time they buy from you.
The biggest feature of acai berry extra I want to point out to you is there is no auto ship program in place. There is no dumb clubs that yo get enrolled for either. Just a simple price for the best acai supplement.
There has been so much b/s online with companies out right scamming there customers by offering a bogus free trial then charging the heck out of your credit card for the product and a bunch of useless programs your never going to use.
Acai Berry Extra does not do any of that which is why they are standing above all the other supplement providers.
How To Become A Reputed Certified Personal Trainer
February 25, 2009 by Chris Channing
Personal training is the act of taking on a student that wants to learn more about how to take their body’s capacity to the next level. In order to do so, it will take the right diet, exercise, and planning. But above all else, they’ll need the right personal trainer. If you’ve ever thought about being a personal trainer, know that now is a great time to get employed with excellent benefits.
Just like with any job, a certain personality type is necessary for becoming a personal trainer. Personal trainers should be very social and outgoing, but also intelligent enough to explain topics in health on a simple level for consumers. Picking up skills like this can often come from visiting a personal trainer yourself and noting their own skills and methods in training others, or taking classes to help demystify the subject. It’s a learning process, so don’t expect to be the perfect trainer in the beginning.
Nutrition and exercise is a science- much more so than what most would think. There are many theories and methods to follow, but above all else, a personal trainer should have his or her own personal method. Try testing a few strategies in building muscle and keeping fat content down on one’s self to show clients that the proof is in the pudding- your own body!
Like the majority of serious professions, becoming a personal trainer will require actual classes in order to study nutrition, exercise techniques, and health of the human body. The NCCA will accredit certain schools with their seal of approval when it comes to proper education and certification practices- but such institutions also tend to cost more money in terms of tuition.
There are other less expensive methods in which to get a proper degree in personal training. Sometimes doing something as simple as going to a local library and studying up on personal training topics will qualify an aspiring trainer enough to take an exam and pass it- all without the course expenses. Some Internet resources also have helpful guides that give great information, as well as information on where to get further certification.
Once certification is completed, getting hold of a job is the fun part. Because there are so many gyms today looking for personal trainers, finding work will be easy as compared to other professions. Even going into business for one’s self is an option if the right business skills are present. Whatever the case, the job outlook for professional trainers is exceptional, and the pay is moderate to high, depending on experience and place of employment.
Closing Comments
A career in health is always a good decision, considering everyone wants to be healthier at some point in their life. For more information on getting certified, go online or visit local colleges to see what courses are available to you.
