Have you struggled with weight loss your entire life? Tried every quick weight loss plan out there? I was in your shoes for a long while. I’ve tried all of the plans out there. From Atkins to South Beach to other “easy” diet plans. So I know a little about the topic. I’ve lost weight only to regain it so many times I’ve lost count. The experts would call this a weight problem.
Let’s get real here: we all love food. I know I do, anyway. And it kills me during the holidays to have to starve myself in order to get down to the size I want. So, needless to say, I have some personal experience with a lot of the so-called “expert” easy diet plans out there on the market.
When I was searching for the right diet for me I hated encountering all of these plans with outrageous claims and even more outrageous before and after photos from their testimonials. I mean, come on! I didn’t put much stuck into a claim like “Lose 30 pounds in 30 days” when it took me near 45 days to lose a mere 10 pounds! I have tried some products that have worked, but were not right for me in the long haul. I needed a solution that not only would help me lose the weight quick, but keep it off and show me foods I can eat that are good for me and that I enjoyed enough and filled me enough so I was not craving that 3pm donut!
There are so many diet programs, e-books, DVD’s and websites out there that claim to have the best solution and program. The thing I learned from my exploration is that a diet alone will not help you. A diet is something you can put away when you don’t want it, then come back to. True weight management comes from a lifestyle change. It’s easy to see that once you get off of a diet, any weight loss you achieved during the diet phase is likely to get reversed within the weeks and months following abandonment of the diet.
That is why I choose to not diet, but live a healthy lifestyle all the time and follow programs that advocate the same
