A science study set up by researchers identifies mechanisms of acai fruit berry provide chemo preventive potential that may possibly help out in the potential removal of cancer.
Researchers documented that anthocyanins which are a group of flavonoids originating in acai berry fruit, controlled enlargement and encouraged apoptosis in the gullet of rats treated with an esophageal carcinogen. The discovery provides hefty evidence that anthocyanins are vital for cancer deterrence.
The researchers fed rats an anthocyanin-rich extract of acai fruit and documented that the compound was right away efficient in relation to as successful in hindering esophageal cancer in rats and as a sum total acai fruit berry contained the same absorption of anthocyanins.
This lesson demonstrates the amount of anthocyanins as shielding agents in acai fruit and validated the same answers. This study was amid the leading studies to glance at the relationship involving anthocyanins and cancer prevention.
The researchers conducted experimental trials by means of complete acai fruit berry powder, which has yielded some optimistic results, but required patients to obtain up to 60 grams of powder a day.
Now that it is understood anthocyanins in acai fruit berries are roughly as vigorous as whole acai fruit berry themselves, it is the anticipation of the researchers to be able to thwart cancer in humans using a standardized creation of anthocyanin.
The aspiration is to potentially substitute whole acai berry fruit powder by way of its active compounds and consequently create enhanced ways to allocate these components to tissues, to supplement their uptake and effectiveness.
In the end, it is the hopes and expectations of the researchers to test the anthocyanins for helpfulness in several organ sites in humans.
Acai fruit is about the dimension of a hefty blueberry however only the furthest layers of the fruit, the pulp adjoining a large internal seed, are fit to be eaten. Similar to vitamin C, the body can only soak up so much at a occasion.
Early Acai Berry Research Shows Promise

Acai berry research is just starting to get into gear now. For such an obscure plant, found only deep in the amazon, this is actually quite an achievement! Of course, having hundreds of celebrities and thousands of people of high standing in North America all insist that the acai berry has helped boost their metabolism and/or helped them lose weight may have something to do with this success. No matter where you look on TV, in magazines and on the internet, there are multiple ads making these claims. There are innumerable reports available on research of the acai berry. The acai berry is harvested in Brazil, and a few other countries in South America, from the acai palm, which grows on the banks of the amazon river. Naturally, Brazil is the head runner in the farming and production of this berry and its products.
There are so many different reports, almost all claiming something different on what the antioxidant value of the acai berry is. One report states that it is lower in antioxidants than the list of fruits already on the high-antioxidant value list. Another report denies this fact and says it is equivalent or higher in value than the fruits on this list. Actual product marketing naturally shows it to be much higher still.
Naturally, all fruits and vegetables are more nutritious if you can get them fresh. However getting the acai berry fresh in the United States, or really anywhere outside of Brazil, is a big problem. This is because it cannot last long enough to ship it in the fresh form, so they have found a way to condense it to powder as a freeze dried form. The problem with this is that the manufacturers are not making the pure form. They are adding bulk ingredients to make the product stretch further and up their profits. They are adding preservatives to give it a longer shelf life. Like with any other product, it has become all about the money.
Since the acai berry cannot be grown in the United States and has to be exported, it is questionable if the US FDA will approve it deny it. Why should they, when it can’t even be grown here? Right now distribution and approval of exporting the berry is under the jurisdiction of the Brazilian government. Since the FDA is not getting involved in the production of this berry at this time, there will not likely be any forth coming official reports from them on the real nutritional value of this fruit.
Research at the University of Florida has recently shown that the effects of acai on leukemia cells has had a very positive reaction. It seems that instead of actually destroying the cells, it has caused a reaction that causes the cells to destroy themselves… Some medical researchers are claiming that their studies will show that the acai berry is going to be the new wonder cure for almost every ailment the human race suffers from… Assuming other scientists can reproduce these results.
Several manufacturers of products containing plant sterols have just been authorized by the US FDA to add to their labels that these products help prevent coronary heart disease. Acai berry is well known to be very high in plant sterol content, and so far this has been the one health claim that acai can make but no one has countered.

Depending on whose report you read, there are a few questionable concerns relating to the actual antioxidant value of the acai berry. One research claims that it is much lower in antioxidants than red wine, blueberry juice, mangos and pomegranates, while another indicates that it is much higher in antioxidants than these fruit juices. Natrually, all the marketing materials for acai place it well above any other fruit on Earth for antioxidant potency.
Naturally, all fruits and vegetables are more nutritious if you can get them fresh. However getting the acai berry fresh in the United States, or really anywhere outside of Brazil, is a big problem. Since the acai berry is native to tropical countries, and there is no where in the United States that is suitable for its growth, the United States’ Department of Agriculture, (FDA) is not going to approve it or deny it, or do any tests on it’s nutritional value at this time. The approval and manufacturing laws of this product lies in the hands of the Brazilian government for now, obscuring an unknown amount of facts about acai.
A University of Florida professor claims that his study on the effects of acai berry on leukemia cells has shown remarkable promise. He states in his findings that over 87% of the leukemia cells in his test subjects self destructed when acai berry juice was introduced in their test tube. Some doctors are claiming that these tests are not conclusive at all, while others swear that the acai berry and its pulp could very well be the one true superfruit that can cure just about every known ailment of man.
The FDA has gully authorized the use of labeling claims that plant sterols reduce the risk of heart disease. Several of the acai berry research reports claim that acai is very high in plant sterols, and would be very effective in stopping coronary heart disease. This seems to be the one fact that has no opposition in the whole world of acai berry research.
What is Laser Liposuction?

Last year, an Italian/ Brazilian technology called laser liposuction received approval from the FDA as a method for removing fat in specific areas of the body. It seems that people no longer need to stick to the option of traditional liposuction. There is however, still a lot that we need to know about laser liposuction.
What Laser Liposuction Is
Laser liposuction is a minimally-invasive fat removal procedure wherein a very small incision is made into which a 1mm cannula is then inserted. The laser tip of the instrument then comes into contact with the fats, heats the fats up and breaks them down. The melted fat can then be removed from the body immediately.
The fats that are not removed from the body are simply flushed out through our lymphatic system. Laser intensity is low and can be adjusted as needed. A local anesthetic is all that is needed for laser liposuction.
What Is It For?
Like other liposuction procedures, laser liposuction can only work on specific areas of the body. Although some may claim that laser liposuction can work wonders on all parts of your body, it can only really work on limited areas. Only smaller areas like the face, neck and arms can be subjected to this laser treatment.
Similar to traditional liposuction, laser liposuction is a form of body sculpting. It is therefore not a solution for obesity and cannot be used for weight loss. The appropriate candidates for this new technology are people who are fairly healthy and who have only small fat deposits.
The Benefits of Laser Liposuction
Since laser liposuction is less invasive compared to other body sculpting procedures, the patient will only experience very minimal swelling, bruising, scarring, tissue damage and pain. The incision is said to be so small that a patient no longer needs to be stitched up. This means that the rate of recovery is faster. Patients can get back on their feet in a day or two.
Another advantage of laser liposuction is that it promotes collagen production and tightens the skin aside from merely melting body fats. This is a great improvement compared to traditional liposuction. In traditional liposuction, some patients end up looking worse because of a lack of ideal skin elasticity. Some doctors may use laser liposuction after sessions of traditional liposuction to help tighten the skin.
Risks
As mentioned, laser liposuction has limited uses. Traditional liposuction may still be needed for wider body areas such as the hips and thighs. It is also still a very young piece of technology. Experts agree that more studies need to be conducted to determine the possible negative side effects of this procedure.
A question that especially deserves more attention is the possible side effects of more fat fluid being retained in the body. Of course, the FDA would not approve something that could be potentially dangerous. It is a fact though that the full long term side effects of the procedure cannot be determined yet until it has been in use for quite some time. Be on the safe side by asking your doctor to extensively discuss the procedure with you.
Best Methods For A Body Colon Cleanse

If one could see the entirety of the colon it would most likely be shocking. The fact is, up to 8 meals of undigested food could be stuck in your colon. All this waste and toxins stops several parts of your digestive system from functioning properly. This means a handful of health conditions including chronic constipation and flatulence. Eventually your immune system will be affective, and other more serious health conditions could arise. Fortunately there are a number of ways we can fight against the ill effects of a dirty colon. Let’s find out more on how we can cleanse our colon.
One of the good methods out there is Hydrotherapy. Hydrotherapy works by eliminating old and hardened waste found in the colon. In this case, a tool is used to flush warm water in the rectum and eventually flush waste and toxins out of the body. The procedure may be uncomfortable at first, but just takes a bit of getting used to. The whole process could take just a number of minutes to complete. Many have benefited from this procedure and have claimed to have better skin and overall feeling after a couple of sessions.
Using enemas is quite another popular method in cleansing the colon. Enemas could be made of plain water, a clay mixture or a coffee mixture. Enemas are considered extremely cheap as a colon cleansing method that can be used conveniently at home. However, they are not very effective in cleansing the lower half of the colon and eliminating mucoid plaque.
If you want something inexpensive and less invasive , you can simply try herbal cleansers. Herbal cleansers are just as effective and another good thing about them is that they are safe to use. Some herbs that make products quite effective are bentonite clay, slippery elm and aloes. Herbal cleansers often provide more than just single action. Each herb is included to target different elements that cause unwanted health conditions. For instance, bentonite clay acts as a mild laxative while slippery elm and aloes contain soothing properties that help improve overall health.
You may also use oxygen based products if you want to increase the effectiveness of other methods. However, you need to consult your doctor first if you want to take more than one product or use more than one method to cleanse your colon. Oxygen based products are scientifically formulated with magnesium and oxygen. They do work, but slowly as stool is liquefied and eliminated.
As far as colon cleansing is concerned, what you eat can affect your colon. There are foods that help cleanse your colon and other foods that worsen its condition. Fasting is often recommended to cleanse the colon, and this includes going on a liquid only diet for a number of weeks or consuming only fruit and/or vegetable juices.
These are also great ways to lose weight. However effective fasting is, it is still considered very inconvenient to some people, as it has very strict requirements that may be very difficult to follow. Generally, foods that are good for your colon are those high in fiber. You should eat more vegetables and drink lots of fresh juices and water. Great foods for your colon include bran cereals and multigrain breads.
As with many other methods to keep healthy, you should couple your diet and/or supplements with an exercise regimen. Good exercises for an effective colon cleanse include jogging, swimming, bicycling, walking, using the trampoline, stomach exercises and twisting exercises.
Research Shows Eating is Stressful to the Body

Eating foods regardless of how pleasurable the meal might be, creates stress on the body-this stress occurs as the body begins to digest the foods and creates oxidation stress. As you digest foods, harmful molecules are released known as free radicals.
Research has found that foods that are rich in antioxidants like the acai fruit berry can assist in fending off free radicals. The ARS (Agricultural Research Service) state people eat at least some kind of anti-oxidant rich food at every meal.
A study was done to learn more about the effects of antioxidants on after meal oxidation stress by using medical studies with healthy female subjects.
Studies found that blood plasma in the participants declined after eating meals that did not include antioxidants. On the contrary, when the meals were prepared with antioxidant rich acai fruit berry, the blood plasma stayed at the same level.
The scientists concluded that eating meals that lack antioxidants can lead to cellular damage by free radicals. The increase in free radical damage is hypothesized to be the cause of cancer, and other debilitating diseases.
The experiments were part of a larger study that was conducted to determine how the human body used antioxidants in cherries, dried plums, red grapes, aside very, strawberries, and wild berries.
Scientist used a method known as Oxygen Radical Absorbent Capacity (ORAC) to look into the fruits and their antioxidant concentration effectiveness.
The US government currently has no standards or recommendations on the amount of antioxidants the human body should consume to fight these harmful free radicals that cause so much free cell damage.
The findings were published in the 2007 Journal of the American College of Nutrition.
