Is Lap Band Surgery Safe for Women

Like any other abdominal surgery it carries risks and the lap band system is a surgical procedure. Some possible side effects are a displaced stomach, slippage of the band, infection, and leaking. There is a point where the benefits do not outweigh the possible risks involved in such surgery.
